Its a risk that Rockstar will have to take if they wish to keep Aaron on board. However, if other employees kids leak info and they terminate those other employees, they will wonder why they got fired but Aaron didn't. But if hes been good to them and they feel confident that it wont happen again, they could keep him on board. Otherwise they now have an excuse to terminate him if they want.Įvery major tech company has policies against leaving confidential work information on a screen unattended, as well as NDA's where if confidential information is leaked as a direct or indirect result of their action, they are subject to termination. Especially if Aaron has good credit with the company. They'll probably meet with him to discuss how his son got access to the computer, if he had considered that being a possibility, ask why he didn't take better precautions, and then further discuss to ensure it won't happen again. His position is partly responsible for ensuring that his managers and employees uphold those standards, and if he didn't uphold them (as evident), it can potentially create an imbalance of trust within his team. If he continues to work, he will be looked down upon by many for even allowing that situation to happen in the first place, because that shows a lack of care. Not saying I agree or disagree with that, just saying that I think those options might be possible.Īaron might even resign on his own without them asking him to. Now I understand at Aarons level, there is no such thing as demotion, but depending on his employment contract, he could still either be suspended without pay (if legally possible) or terminated with the opportunity to return in 3 months (give or take), while another manager temporarily fills his position. They didn't deem my conversation important and they had to hear from much higher people over that person. I had to discuss with the absolute top person on a specific property with 1,500+ employees how they were out of violation of a policy. Rules are guidelines at higher levels for some things, but not for everything. What they could also probably do is either suspend him (without pay) or temporarily terminate him with the ability to return in 3 months, while placing someone else in his position temporarily. Imagine if someone else in the art department has a kid who does the same thing and they get fired. They will wonder why the rules don't seem to apply equally. Its also not a good look internally if Rockstar kept Aaron, but fired other employees for the same thing. When it comes to confidential information/NDA's, there is generally no room for discretion because future court cases involving other leaks can potentially refer to this situation. I've seen directors/managers IRL get terminated for less. I'm sure hes a great guy, but the situation was a result of him leaving his computer unlocked and unattended.Īs someone who worked in security management for a much larger tech company, he will be extremely lucky to keep his job. I'm not saying I want him to lose his job. That said, it's been up since August 1, so no matter what happens, the aforementioned duo has been slow to react. The son should've never got access to this and the father is at fault for even letting that be a possibility. This could change very quickly though, and by the time you're reading this, it may already have. In fact, it's quite possible it's from a part of the game that doesn't even exists considering this is from a very early build of the game.Įt probablement un peu de l'histoire #GTA6 #GTA6LEAKS /m4GJaobur5- GRAND THEFT AUTO VI August 1, 2023Īt the moment of publishing, the tweet above has not been taken down by Rockstar Games or its parent company Take-Two Interactive. Unfortunately, without more context, it's difficult to discern much else and whether or not any of the footage below is from a notable part of the game. In it, the player controlled character is the male protagonist, with the female protagonist nowhere to be seen. The footage seems to tease a little bit of the game's story and show a nightclub in the game. To this end, some of this previously deleted footage has surfaced online again, and Rockstar Games hasn't deleted it yet.
